What are the techniques of environment scanning
Who does analysis in a typical organization is a relevant question. The answer is everybody who is somebody in the organization. To be specific, top executive, marketing manager, financial manager, and purchasing manager are may not be able to contribute much because his job demands that he should confine his time and energy to the shop floor. Some organization maintains management information systems (MIS) which can be asked to handle the job of analyzing environment. The best alternative is to have an exclusive department for the purpose to be headed by a competent official.
This would entail additional expenditure but the additional cost is worth considering the risk involve in non-reading of the changes taking place in the environment. This was what takas had done. They had appointed Dr.D.R.Pendse as their economic advisor.
